More than a grocery store
It took a whole lot of courage to open the first natural products grocery store over 35 years ago at the corner of Rachel and Berri Streets complete with a groundbreaking mission—to reimagine the way Quebecers take care of their health.
From the outset, our customers were able to shop with peace of mind for carefully sourced organic, natural or local products free from chemical preservatives, additives, artificial flavours and colourings. Since then, we have helped an entire generation lead healthier lifestyles.
With 11 grocery stores and over 70 Espace santé sections in IGA supermarkets throughout Quebec, Rachelle Béry boasts a team of helpful and knowledgeable staff who share a passion for food, wellness and looking after the environment. Our friendly staff can advise you and help you find the products that best suit your healthy lifestyle.

To call yourself a health food store, you have to be prepared to meet extremely rigorous selection criteria. And that’s what Rachelle Béry has always done.
Each of our Rachelle Béry stores practises what is referred to as “local-local.” Local, because we opt for Quebec producers and local products to reduce our ecological footprint and drive the local economy. And local because we are present at the heart of your neighbourhood to create a dynamic living environment that brings people together and fosters community spirit.
Offering local and seasonal products from our local producers is a key part of our mission. Our meat and poultry must come from farms that respect their animals’ lifestyles and well-being. You won’t find any preservatives or bleaches, sweeteners, artificial dyes, emulsifiers or other chemicals in any of our products. We guarantee it. And that’s how we like it.
We also offer organic fruits, vegetables, cereals and other organically grown products.

We take pride in supporting local producers without compromising on choice. Our producers include industry leaders, family farms, well-known brands and flagship producers of Quebec agriculture who are also—and above all—our partners.
They help us offer organic products year-round and provide seasonal produce. Many of their products can be found on our shelves, whether it’s seasonal or greenhouse-grown produce, fresh meat from local farms that respect animal well-being, locally produced wines and craft beers, or personal care and hygiene products from local manufacturers.
